BAAS’s new Executive Director
Bay Area Adoption Services would like to wish Andrea Stawitcke the warmest congratulations on her retirement. We are truly excited that she can now jump into all of the hobbies she has planned and also that she will have more time to spend with her family, especially her grandkids. We are thrilled BAAS will also be one of her hobbies! Andrea will be popping in and out of the office over the next few months as she is assisting us with our COA re-accreditation this year. We are so grateful for her knowledge and assistance with this huge project.
We would also like to take this time to introduce you to Lisa Clark, BAAS’s new Executive Director. Lisa brings with her 18 years of adoption experience in both domestic and international adoption. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Her favorite areas of adoption these days are working with adoptive families in post adoption support and with birth/first families. Lisa has gotten to know the BAAS staff, volunteers and programs over the last few months and is honored to join such an amazing community. Lisa is part of an adoptive family and loves to travel. She is looking forward to meeting all of you at the next BAAS event.
Lisa is currently wearing two hats since she is also the Executive Director at Adopt International in San Francisco. BAAS and Adopt International see this as an excellent opportunity to work together more often. BAAS families can explore Adopt International’s programs and Adopt International families can explore BAAS’s programs. We have also been working to share educational programs so that families can attend classes at either agency.
Lisa shares BAAS’s core values of ethics, transparency and providing excellent service to families. Families who work with BAAS will be able to benefit from the sharing of information, programs, education and expertise.
All other BAAS staff is here and excited to continue to work with you and the office in Mountain View continues to welcome families on the phone or when they drop paperwork off in person.
